2014 Book Blogger Love-A-Thon: Book Spine Poetry
The Book Blogger Love-a-Thon is an event where we can share our love for our fellow book bloggers! The event is hosted by Alexa at Alexa Loves Books and Katelyn at Kate’s Tales of Books and Bands.
This first mini challenge is Book Spine Poetry, where you make up a poem with just the titles of books. I love this challenge, and had so much fun with it during last year’s Book Blogger Love-A-Thon.
So here’s my poem for this year. I decided to only use books that I’ve bought/received since the last Book Blogger Love-A-Thon, that way I wasn’t using the same titles again. I also added a few filler words to my poem, just so it would make a bit more sense.
So here is the poem, with the filler words added:
Between the devil and the deep blue sea,
the dream thieves,
the forsaken,
the darkest minds;
perfect scoundrels,
birthmarked, born wicked.
Keepers of the lost cities, exiled
to this side of salvation,
that thin space in the after.
The Magisterium:
the Demon King,
the Collector,
the Archived,
the Diviners,
the Masque of the Red Death.
A throne of glass,
a crown of midnight,
pawns in a game of thrones,
unraveling the Eternity Cure.
So as I was making this poem I realized it kind of goes along with my poem from the last Book Blogger Loveathon, which I’m still quite proud of, TBH. You can go here to see that poem.
I had lots of fun with this again this year, and can’t wait to see everyone else’s spine poetry!
