#FitReaders Check-In: January 20, 2017

#FitReaders is a group of book lovers who encourage each other with their fitness goals. It’s hosted by Felicia at The Geeky Blogger’s Book Blog and Jen at That’s What I’m Talking About. Go here or here for more info.

Each week or so, those who are participating in #FitReaders do a check-in where they share how their week went, fitness-wise. I’ll be posting these check-ins every other week on Friday.

My Goals (For 2017)

-Exercise at least 3 days/week
-Try to get at least 5,000 steps/day
-Eat healthier

These goals are just for now, because I’m trying to start small. Once I am hitting these goals frequently, I’ll switch to harder goals.

My Past Two Weeks

These past two weeks have not been good. AT ALL. And I don’t just mean fitness-wise. I’m going through some MAJOR stuff in my personal life, and it’s all been really stressful for these past two weeks. I’m not really ready to share what’s going on online yet, but it will come out eventually, because it’s major. Life-changing. But these past two weeks I haven’t been feeling like exercising. Mostly I’ve been doing a lot of crying. 

Anyway, enough about that. I’m also not doing the whole NutriSystem thing like I was going to do. My husband and I returned our orders because we knew with what we have going on right now, neither one of us wanted to add the stress of a strict diet on top of the stress we’re already experiencing. Maybe one day I’ll try NutriSystem, but I just can’t handle it right now.

I hope to channel some of my stress into exercise going forward. 

Friday 1/6: No exercise, 2,953 steps
Saturday 1/7: No exercise, 2,785 steps
Sunday 1/8: Walked about 30 minutes, 7,140 steps
Monday 1/9: No exercise, 3,591 steps
Tuesday 1/10: No exercise, 2,933 steps
Wednesday 1/11: No exercise, 3,186 steps
Thursday 1/12: Walked on treadmill 20 minutes, 4,836 steps
Friday 1/13:
No exercise, 1,708 steps
Saturday 1/14:
No exercise, 1,615 steps
Sunday 1/15:
No exercise, 2,168 steps
Monday 1/16: No exercise, 3,241 steps
Tuesday 1/17:
No exercise, 2,558 steps
Wednesday 1/18:
No exercise, 2,715 steps
Thursday 1/19:
No exercise, 2,909 steps
