#FitReaders is a group of book lovers who encourage each other with their fitness goals. It’s hosted by Felicia at The Geeky Blogger’s Book Blog and Jen at That’s What I’m Talking About. Go here or here for more info.

Each week, those who are participating in #FitReaders do a check-in where they share how their week went, fitness-wise. I’ll be trying to post these check-ins each week on Friday.

My Goals (For Now)

-Exercise at least 3 days/week
-Try to get at least 5,000 steps/day

These goals are just for now, because I’m trying to start small. Once I am hitting these goals frequently, I’ll switch to harder goals.

My Week

I totally failed on both goals this week. Both of my boys have been sick so I haven’t been out and about much and I just really had no motivation to exercise. I’m also in planning mode for Christmas, not only the usual planning for the holiday itself but we’ll be celebrating with family so I’m having to plan our trip and that has kept me busy. And because of that trip I’ve been trying to get ahead with my blog and my reading and my videos, so that has made me even more busy.

I’m kind of giving myself some slack for the no exercise, though. I’ve exercised more this year since I have in the past 20 years, so I’m pretty proud of that. And I have big, major health and fitness goals for 2017, so I’m giving myself a little break before then. A calm before the storm, I guess. But I still want to show these stats because I think it’s important to share even when I’m not having great fitness weeks.

Friday (12/09): No exercise, 2,656 steps
Saturday (12/10): No exercise, 3,327 steps
Sunday (12/11): No exercise, 2,648 steps
Monday (12/12): No exercise, 4,999 steps (so close to 5,000!)
Tuesday (12/13): No exercise, 3,117 steps
Wednesday (12/14): No exercise, 1,549 steps (FitBit on charger a lot of the day)
Thursday (12/15): No exericse, 2,461 steps

Are you participating in #FitReaders, too? Let me know, and I’ll try to stop by your blog!

I have early onset arthritis so exercise is not so easy. Just work through the sickness then try to up your movement again when you are better. You’re trying and staying motivated so that counts a lot. Congrats and Happy Holidays.
