I’m Participating in Fall 2016 Bloggiesta! Are You?
Bloggiesta is an event for book bloggers where participants work on blog housekeeping and improving their blogs. It’s hosted by MC at Blame It On The Books and Emily at Emily Reads Everything. Check out the Bloggiesta homepage and about page for more info.
This Thursday through Sunday, September 15-18, is the Fall 2016 Bloggiesta, and I’m very excited to be participating again! If you don’t know what Bloggiesta is, check out their about page for more info!
I usually end up saving a lot of my blog housekeeping specifically for Bloggiesta, which means I end up having way too long of a to-do list. Which, surprise, surprise, is the case again this time.
My To-Do List
I made that (very sloppy) list in my bullet journal, which is a great segue into the fact that I’ll be hosting a mini-challenge during this Bloggiesta, called Bullet Journaling for Book Bloggers! Last week I wrote a post all about using a bullet journal for planning your book blogging, complete with pictures and a video. And during Bloggiesta, I’ll be challenging YOU (if you’re participating in Bloggiesta, that is) to make some kind of list/calendar/cool layout in your bullet journal that will help you organize, plan, track your reading, etc. for your book blog! Plus there will be a giveaway! So be sure to check that out!
I’m super excited about this Bloggiesta, not only for my mini-challenge but also because I just have so much blog housekeeping to do and I’m ready to get to it! Are you participating in this round of Bloggiesta? Let me know and I’ll try to stop by your blog!
NOTE: This is just my sign-up post. I will be updating my progress on this post. :)

September 12, 2016 at 11:03 amHum, my last comment seems to have disappeared. Looking forward to the book journaling mini challenge!

September 12, 2016 at 11:22 amSorry, my blog is set up to where your first comment has to be approved and then after that, it’s supposed to allow all of your comments. But for some reason, it’s making me approve all of the comments. It’s something I plan on trying to fix during Bloggiesta! :)
I’m looking forward to seeing what people come up with for my bullet journaling mini challenge!

September 12, 2016 at 12:21 pmI’ll definitely be back for the mini challenge. I’ve been trying to find something to keep everything in order for the blog. Right now I go between my planner, notebook, and whatever notes I keep on my phone.

September 12, 2016 at 12:28 pmThat’s what I used to have too! I loved my system before with my planner and apps on my phone, and when I first heard about bullet journaling, I thought it would be too much planning and designing, but not enough getting things done. But once I realized that with a bullet journal I could have all my blog planning in one place, I decided to give it a try. And I love it! It’s definitely not for everyone but I think it’s worth a try!

September 12, 2016 at 12:41 pmI’m definitely going to give it a try. I’ve been thinking about it for a while. And I think the last few months of the year will give me an idea if it’s a system that I think will work for me.

September 13, 2016 at 4:34 amGood luck on the challenge – you have a long list :-) I love how you’re using the bullet journal. I’m electronic for blog planning but incorporate bullet journal for work and some personal.

September 13, 2016 at 8:39 amI love handwritten lists…but sadly, my handwriting has suffered over the years with the more time I spend on my computer.
I’ll be checking out your challenge, though.

September 13, 2016 at 11:44 amUnrelated, but your handwriting is super cool! :D

September 13, 2016 at 11:47 amThanks! I find that people either really like it or can’t read it! Lol! I admit, I can get sloppy with it, and it definitely looks cooler when I take the time to write nicely! :)

September 15, 2016 at 6:55 pmGreat list of goals! Love that you used your bullet journal to keep track. I was introduced to bullet journals last year, but haven’t been as consistent as I’d like so will definitely check out your mini challenge!
Happy Bloggiesta!
