#FitReaders is a group of book lovers who encourage each other with their fitness goals. It’s hosted by Felicia at The Geeky Blogger’s Book Blog and Jen at That’s What I’m Talking About. Go here or here for more info.

Each week, those who are participating in #FitReaders do a check-in where they share how their week went, fitness-wise. I’ll be trying to post these check-ins each week on Friday.

My Goals (For Now)

-Exercise at least 3 days/week
-Try to get at least 5,000 steps/day

These goals are just for now, because I’m trying to start small. Once I am hitting these goals frequently, I’ll switch to harder goals.

My Week

I didn’t do too well again this week. I really need to figure out a schedule that will allow me to exercise almost every day. Unfortunately I’ve been lacking a lot of motivation lately, not only for exercising but also for reading and other things. Hopefully it will turn around soon!

But I did get another mile in on the treadmill, so this will count as a makeup Fun Mile for April. We also just got a Bowflex, and I tried that out for the first time this week, and I enjoyed it! So hopefully I’ll start doing that more often, too.

Friday (9/23): No exercise, 2,415 steps#FitReaders Fun Mile Makeup for April
Saturday (9/24): Spent 2 1/2 hours cleaning my oldest son’s room, which I’m totally counting as exercise, 4,364 steps
Sunday (9/25): No exercise, 2,694 steps
Monday (9/26): Walked on treadmill 29 minutes, 1 mile (Fun Mile makeup for April, see photo), 6,802 steps
Tuesday (9/27): No exercise, 2,837 steps
Wednesday (9/28): No exercise, 1,771 steps (my FitBit was on the charger for a while this day, so many of my steps weren’t tracked)
Thursday (9/29): Weight lifting on Bowflex 15 minutes, 3,966 steps

Are you participating in #FitReaders, too? Let me know, and I’ll try to stop by your blog!

What a wonderful idea! I definitely get outside less than I used to once I started reading a lot again. I need to work on finding a good balance.
