BIRTH OF A MONSTER
The Colossal Titan has breached humanity’s first line of defense, Wall Maria. Mikasa, the 104th Training Corps’ ace and Eren’s best friend, may be the only one capable of defeating them, but beneath her calm exterior lurks a dark past. When all looks lost, a new Titan appears and begins to slaughter its fellow Titans. Could this new monster be a blessing in disguise, or is the truth something much more sinister? *Warning: This review covers volumes 2-8 in a manga series. While I really don’t like spoilers, you might find some slight spoilers in this review.*
As with all my mini reviews, I’m just going to share some of my notes for all the volumes.
Volume 2

- Lolololol! Love this part where Eren and Jean are fighting in the cafeteria and their drill sergeant or whoever comes in and asks what the noise was and Mikasa says “It was Sasha letting out a huge fart.” And the look on Sasha’s face! So funny!

Volume 5
- Oooh, this side story with the woman who encounters a titan while on an expedition is so creepy!
- I like the political aspect to this story, with all the different groups fighting over what they should do.

I haven’t read much manga yet, but Attack on Titan is definitely my favorite one so far. I would definitely recommend this to adults (and teens, but this is definitely not for kids) who enjoy sci-fi and suspenseful stories, as well as those who like manga and anime. I hope to read some more volumes soon!
