Sundays in Bed With…Wonder & My NaNo 2015 Novel

Sundays in Bed With… is a meme/feature started by my friend Kate at Midnight Book Girl, where we can highlight the book that we’re spending the day in bed reading (or the one we wish we could be reading all day in bed!).

I’m hoping to spend the day in bed with…

Wonder by R.J. Palacio

I started Wonder a few nights ago, but then I got really sick on Friday and still felt bad yesterday, so I haven’t gotten much reading done. So I hope to be able to read a lot of it today. It’s also the first day of November, which means it’s the first day of NaNoWriMo! (If you don’t know about NaNo, it’s basically an online challenge where people try to write a 50,000-word novel during the month of November. You can go here for more info, and I encourage you to try it if you like to write!) I’m writing a YA Fantasy novel that I technically started earlier this year but I haven’t written very much of it yet. I hope to get much, much more written this month!

What are you spending this Sunday in bed with?  Let me know in the comments, or leave a link to your post if you’re participating in this meme and I’ll try to stop by your blog!

Wonder is such an amazing novel! It won't take you long to finish once you get sucked in! Have you done NaNo before? I'm debating, but sometimes it feels a bit overwhelming to think about when I consider everything else going on!

This is my seventh year to do NaNo! I've also done a couple of the Camp NaNos in April & July. It's really fun! It does seem hard but if you can just write 2000 words per day (which is totally doable), you can do it! Good luck if you decide to join in this month!

Also, I'll add that out of those 6 times I've previously done NaNo, I've only completed the 50,000-word goal ONCE. But I still write and even though I may not "win" I still have more words written than I did when I started that month!
