Serenity: Better Days follows everyone’s favorite space cowboys in a thrilling, action-packed adventure, where Mal and his crew take on a heist that promises a big payoff. But when one of Serenity’s crew is taken captive and tortured, the gang must put their enduring differences aside and work together to save one of their own, even if it means losing the cash prize of a lifetime!

Joss Whedon returns to the world of his blockbuster film Serenity, reuniting with Brett Matthews and Will Conrad, his collaborators on the bestselling 2005 series Those Left Behind. (Cover and synopsis from Goodreads.)

My friend Kate at Midnight Book Girl has this feature called Short and Tweet Reviews where she reviews books in 140 characters or less, like a tweet. With this graphic novel, I didn’t have many notes written, so I thought I’d write a Short and Tweet Review for it.

So here’s my Short and Tweet Review for Better Days:

I like the art & love seeing these characters again. Some of the writing was confusing, but that may have been my copy. Want to read more!

My rating for Better Days by Joss Whedon, Brett Matthews, and Will Conrad:

More like 3.5 stars. I’m not sure if the copy I borrowed from the library was missing pages or not, but it was pretty beat up and only had 79 pages, while Goodreads says it has 128 pages. That would explain my confusion.

Disclaimer:  I borrowed a copy of this book from my library.  I was in no way compensated for this review.

    Joss Whedon, eh? That's cool.

I haven't told you this but I love your Graphic Novel month! If I had known sooner I would have jumped in with you. I haven't read a whole lot of graphic novels outside of those that I was assigned in school so I think it'd be a cool exploration. : )

Also, the Short and Tweet reviews are great. Especially when you have to choose which grammatical sin to commit. ; )
