Waiting on Wednesday (42): Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.

My pick this week:

by Stephanie Perkins
Release Date:  August 14, 2014
Published by Dutton

From the glittering streets of Manhattan to the moonlit rooftops of Paris, falling in love is easy for hopeless dreamer Isla and introspective artist Josh. But as they begin their senior year in France, Isla and Josh are quickly forced to confront the heartbreaking reality that happily-ever-afters aren’t always forever.

Their romantic journey is skillfully intertwined with those of beloved couples Anna and Étienne and Lola and Cricket, whose paths are destined to collide in a sweeping finale certain to please fans old and new. (Cover and synopsis from Goodreads.)

I read both Anna and the French Kiss and Lola and the Boy Next Door a few years ago, and loved both of them, so I’ve been patiently awaiting Isla! I’m also kind of glad I didn’t buy copies of Anna and Lola, since they changed the covers for Isla, so now I can just buy a box set of all three!  I’ll probably re-read the first two books and review them before reading Isla, though!

What book are you waiting on?  Let me know, or leave a link to your WoW post in the comments, and I’ll try to stop by your blog!

I seriously cannot wait for Isla. I have had this preordered from Amazon since November of 2012. I think I might reread Anna and Lola as well, they are just so good!

I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS BOOK!!! So excited this one will take us to NYC, but most of all I just want more of the wonderfulness that is Stephanie Perkins. I have an autographed copy of Lola… with the old cover… BAH! I totally like the new covers better too and want a set :( What to do?!?!
