2014 Book Blogger Love-A-Thon: Mad Libs

The Book Blogger Love-a-Thon is an event where we can share our love for our fellow book bloggers! The event is hosted by Alexa at Alexa Loves Books and Katelyn at Kate’s Tales of Books and Bands.

This challenge is a Mad Lib challenge, where the Love-A-Thon hosts gave us a story and we fill in the blanks.  I asked my husband to help me with this one, so he is the one who came up with all the words to fill the blanks! So here’s our Mad Libs!

One day, I was sledding with Four. Out of the blue, a chair came out of nowhere! It was so pretty, curly and furry. At first, we were afraid, we were petrified, but we walked. We hopped on a train to make our getaway.

As we escaped, we turned up the radio because What Does The Fox Say? came on and made me splurge. Everything was extremely smooth sailing until a panther appeared in the middle of the road. We swerved to avoid it, but while Four stayed on the train, I got thrown onto my side in the woods.

I couldn’t get up, and felt cold as I lay there staring up at the trees. What was I going to do? I heard a bam! among the leaves, and felt tingly. Surely, this was going to be my end. As my eyes fluttered shut, the last thing I saw was a head of blue hair and orange eyes.

When I woke up again, I was on a TV stand. My body hurt a whole lot less, and I could sit up. There was a box and a picture in the room, along with lima beans and Pepsi. The door suddenly opened to reveal Perry, a concerned look on his face. I blushed and averted my gaze, but he purred and said, “Don’t be shy. It’s okay.”

He came over to sit by me, and we started talking after I told him my name. We chatted about model cars, flying kites and bicycling and realized we had a ton in common! I thought he was frumpy and couldn’t help feeling a little swoony.

Just as he reached out for my hand, the door crashed open and in came Ron Weasley. “Don’t let him charm you away, my love!” he yelled, running at Perry. They each had mixers in their hands and began to fight. “Stop!” I yelled, feeling so flabbergasted. They didn’t listen to me. Before I could intervene, Perry fell to the floor and disappeared in cloud of smoke.

“What was that?” I asked, staring at the empty space. Ron dropped his weapon, and came over to me. “Magic, but you are safe now, Ginger.” He hugged me close, and I suddenly knew that this was the real deal and not just a dream.

Just as All For Love started playing in my head, I woke up. I cursed my handsome luck. Why had it only been just a dream?

So that was really fun!  My husband and I cracked up at a couple parts.  I’m looking forward to see everyone else’s Mad Libs!
