Top Ten Tuesday: Top 2013 Reads

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic. I’m a huge fan of lists, so this meme is right up my alley!

This week’s topic is Top Ten Books I Read In 2013.  I kind of lucked out this week, because it turns out that I put exactly ten of the books I read this year onto my Favorites shelf on Goodreads.  So here are those books, in alphabetical order by the author’s last name, because there’s no way I can put them in any kind of ranking order:

Altered by Gennifer Albin
Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner
Love is the Higher Law by David Levithan
Scarlet by Marissa Meyer

Unraveling by Elizabeth Norris

Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell
Spark by Amy Kathleen Ryan

*All the links go to my reviews, which were often full of lots of fangirling and gushing, so be prepared.

What were the top ten books you read in 2013?  Let me know, or leave a link to your TTT in the comments, and I’ll try to stop by your blog!

I looooooooooooooooved These Broken Stars. The twist at the end kind of upset me (mostly because I just don't like that trope and had just read ANOTHER book with the same trope.) But regardless, I loved that book to pieces, flaws and all. I cannot, cannot, cannot wait for the sequel.

READY PLAYER ONE!!!! Honestly that is one of the best books I have read ever.

Also loved Unravelling and I still need to read For Darkness Shows the Stars – but I promise you I will!

Glad you liked Unraveling. I postponed reading it at first due to the length, but loved it anyway. Happy New Year!My TTT

I just read Ready Player One this month and really liked it. Nice to see Spark on your list, I liked Glow a little more than Spark but both books were good.

    Happy New Year!

Great list. You've got some really amazing books on your list – These Broken Stars made my list too. I really want to read the Lunar Chronicles, I've heard so many wonderful things about that series. Happy New Year :) My TTT.

Whoo Hoo for Ernest Cline, David Levithan, and Rainbow Rowell making the list!!!! I haven't read Love is the Higher Law but the other two are still fighting it out for my favorite pick of the year!
