Top Ten Tuesday: Top of My Summer TBR List
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic. I’m a huge fan of lists, so this meme is right up my alley!
This week’s topic is Top Ten Books At The Top Of My Summer TBR List. My TBR piles are really crazy right now, and since everything is in pub date-order, there are books I’d like to read ASAP, but I’m going to have to hold off on them. So here are the books that I’m most looking forward to reading this summer, even though I’m looking forward to all the books on my TBR piles!
Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell – My friend Jessie from Jessie Marie Reads (formerly The Daily Bookmark) lent me her ARC of this book and I can’t wait to get to it! I’ve heard such good things about it and I loved seeing the author at BEA.
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare – I’ve had this book for a while (a couple years maybe), but I’ve just been putting it off. I always figured I’d read it before the movie came out, and the movie just kept getting pushed back. Well, the movie’s coming out in August, which means I can’t put it off any longer! I’m looking forward to it, though–these seem like cool stories.
Just Like Fate by Cat Patrick and Suzanne Young – This was one of the first books I picked up at BEA, and it was one of the books I had really wanted! I love stories about fate and this one sounds very much like Sliding Doors so I’m pumped!
The Beginning of Everything by Robyn Schneider – I think this sounds like a really great contemporary novel, and I’m really excited to read it!
All Our Yesterdays by Cristin Terrill – I hadn’t heard of this book at all until the BEA Blogger Con, and I realized then that this book is TOTALLY me. So this book became the one that I rearranged my BEA schedule for because I had to have it! I’m so glad I was able to get a copy because I am SO excited to read it!
Scorched by Mari Mancusi – I’ve never read any of Mari Mancusi’s other books but I did see her at YAB Fest last month and I’m psyched to read Scorched! Dragons are cool…
Once We Were by Kat Zhang – The first book in this series, What’s Left of Me, was the book that I begged my friend Kim from On the Wings of Books to get for me at BEA last year (which she did because she’s awesome!). And this year, attending BEA myself, the sequel was one of my ultimate must-haves!
Tumble & Fall by Alexandra Coutts – This was another one of my must-haves at BEA. An asteroid is falling to Earth–what do you do with your last days to live? Sounds fantastic!
The Burning Sky by Sherry Thomas – I heard about this one through Tea Time with Epic Reads. It’s supposed to be a really awesome high fantasy novel!
Vicious by V.E. Schwab – I got in line for this book an hour and a half early at BEA. I was about 6th in line and I’m glad I got in line so early, because this was one of the longest lines I saw. I can’t wait to read this one–it sounds SOOO GOOD!
So what books are at the top of your Summer TBR List? Let me know, or leave a link to your TTT in the comments, and I’ll stop by your blog!

June 18, 2013 at 9:39 amI keep seeing Eleanor & Park everywhere! I guess it's one of those I'll just have to pick up, huh?! City of Bones is pretty good. I liked the first three better than book four (I haven't read book five yet). I hope the movie is good!

June 18, 2013 at 12:00 pmEek! I'm so excited for you to read Eleanor & Park. I don't know for sure that you'll love it, but I'd be willing to gamble on it a little. ; )
PS. If you finish reading it and you know somebody else who wants to read it, feel free to pass that copy on to them. It's one of those books I want the world to experience! : )

June 20, 2013 at 2:33 amAn enviable stack, my dear!! I liked the Beginning of Everything okay, but I preferred the old title- Severed Heads, Broken Hearts.
You definitely picked up a few books I wish I'd gotten at BEA, but that's the way it goes.
I also have Eleanor and Park in my tbr pile, I'm taking it to the beach with me in August though!
