Waiting on Wednesday (22): The Loop by Shandy Lawson
Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.
by Hyperion
Ben and Maggie have met, fallen in love, and died together countless times. Over the course of two pivotal days—both the best and worst of their lives—they struggle again and again to resist the pull of fate and the force of time itself. With each failure, they return to the beginning of their end, a wild road trip that brings them to the scene of their own murders and into the hands of the man destined to kill them.
As time circles back on itself, events become more deeply ingrained, more inescapable for the two kids trapped inside the loop. The closer they come to breaking out, the tighter fate’s clutches seem to grip them. They devise a desperate plan to break free and survive the days ahead, but what if Ben and Maggie’s only shot at not dying is surviving apart? (Cover and synopsis from Goodreads)
I actually just heard of this one last week, when I saw a review at Blkosiner’s Book Blog. Brandi didn’t love this book, but it sounds like it’s right up my alley, so I’m very excited to read it!
What book are you waiting on? Let me know, or leave a link to your WoW post in the comments, and I’ll stop by your blog!

April 18, 2013 at 3:17 amI think time loop stories are always an interesting premise; it's the execution that can be a bit hit-or-miss. Sometimes the author repeats things one too many times without changing things up enough and I end up giving up. Hopefully, this one's a hit :)

April 18, 2013 at 12:46 pmIt sounds very cool, Andrea! I was actually surprised it was a YA novel. Time travel books can be hit or miss with me, but I am willing to take a risk on this one! Thanks for bringing it to my attention!
