Bloggiesta Time Again!
From bloggiesta.com: “In short, Bloggiesta is a blogging marathon revolving around ticking off those items on your to-do list and improving your blog while in the good company of other awesome bloggers doing the same thing.” Bloggiesta is hosted by Suey at It’s All About Books and Danielle from There’s A Book.
Starting tomorrow (Friday, 03/22) I’ll be participating in my second Bloggiesta. I loved the first one I participated in, and it just so happens that I have lots of blog housekeeping to do, so I’m very excited to be participating again!
So I’m going to go ahead and post my goals, and I’ll be updating this post throughout the event, which goes from Friday to Sunday.
My Goals
Catch up on commenting(I ALMOST got this accomplished. I still have my favorite blogs to comment-bomb because I’ve gotten really behind on their blogs and some of them have commented on my blog recently, so theirs were the only comments that I didn’t actually respond to yet.)- Write at least one review
- Put at least 5 old reviews on Goodreads
I’m going for the exact same goals I had during my first Bloggiesta. My major goal is to catch up on responding to all the recent comments that have been left on my blog. And then, I swear it, this time I’m going to STAY caught up after that! It will happen! It will!
Anyway, if I’m able to get all of those first 3 goals accomplished, I have some other smaller goals that I will add to the list. But to be honest, I’ll be totally stoked if I just get caught up on responding to comments.
UPDATE: Added extra goals on Saturday, 03/23
Extra Goals
Add my blog to Bloglovin‘Update G+ profile and get in book blogging group- Make a Facebook page
Think about moving to WordPress(I thought about it–not sure if I’m going to move anytime soon, though)Unfollow some old inactive blogsGet a new feed reader
Here’s to a hopefully very productive Bloggiesta!
Progress Updates
Friday, 03/22
I didn’t really get much done today except I added my blog to Bloglovin’ and I participated in the Bloggiesta twitter chat. I got lots of great advice and ideas during the chat, and found some great new bloggers to follow! Tomorrow I hope to spend the whole day catching up on recent comments on my blog.
Saturday, 03/23
I got a bit sidetracked today, because I found out that I’m definitely going to BEA this year!!! I’m so excited! I’ve been spending valuable Bloggiesta time looking up everything about NYC and BEA that the only thing I’ve done for Bloggiesta today was the chat this morning. But tomorrow I will spend as much time as I possibly can trying to get caught up on comments!!
Sunday, 03/24
Once again, I started off thinking I was going to get a lot done, but I didn’t start doing anything until about 2 p.m., and then I joined the chat, and then spent the rest of my evening trying to accomplish my big goal of responding to all my recent comments. I finally got that finished! Yay!
Finish Line
Well, overall I didn’t get as much done as I wanted, but I did get caught up with my comments! And I got a few other things done too, which was nice! I didn’t end up doing any of the mini challenges, but I think I’m going to try to do a lot of them soon, because a lot of them seem like things I need to do! And I loved chatting with everyone on Twitter. Everyone gave such great advice and had great ideas for goals during the event.
Thanks again to the organizers–Bloggiesta is such a cool event and I can’t wait for the next one!
Did you participate in this Bloggiesta? Let me know and I’ll stop by your blog!

March 21, 2013 at 11:17 amGood luck! My entire blog is devoted to housekeeping right now so I'm living in Bloggiesta-ville these days. Baha! Anyway, I hope you get everything done you intend. : ) I now have to go write a novel-lenth e-mail. ; )

March 22, 2013 at 10:11 pmI like keeping goals manageable, too, and then adding to them later if I feel so inclined…lol.
Enjoy the party!

March 23, 2013 at 11:10 amThat's very achievable Andrea. I personally wish I can catch up on my commenting but I can't seem to get my Blogger comment to work with threading! It's so much harder when threading isn't included :(
My Bloggiesta Goals
Have a great Bloggigesta weekend!

March 23, 2013 at 6:38 pmI love your idea of having a short list of important goals, and then extra goals if you have the time. I should have done that…my longer list is looking intimidating at this point :) Good luck!!

March 23, 2013 at 8:45 pmI just got hooked up with Bloglovin' too :) I'd really like to put a button on the end of my posts but I can't figure it out. (Yet!) Good luck with all of your goals and have a great weekend!

March 24, 2013 at 12:46 amThere are some great book blogging groups of Google+ (one is called Book Bloggers Do It Better and it's fairly active). Good luck with your goals! I hope you check out my Bloggiesta To Do List or join my mini-challenge about getting involved!

March 24, 2013 at 6:09 pmI started using bloglovin', too, this weekend – still playing around with it and getting used to it. I also started a twitter account and have been playing around with that, too.
Here's my Bloggiesta to-do list.
Good luck with the rest of your goals!

March 25, 2013 at 1:18 amLooks like a great list — I hope you accomplished everything you wanted to this weekend! I also joined Bloglovin', though I've been so busy with Bloggiesta stuff, I haven't really played with it too much, just following more and more blogs! I'm a new follower across various networks. Also, I really like your design/layout!
Here is my Bloggiesta To-Do List.

March 25, 2013 at 11:24 amYou did get a lot done…and I appreciate your stopping by and commenting on mine.
I still have two Blogger sites, but the rest of mine are at Word Press. Changing over wasn't a hassle, as I just transferred a few things, not the whole blog. I didn't have that much on the old blogs at the time.
Enjoy your week!

March 31, 2013 at 1:53 pmI've thought about moving to WP too, but am uneasy about the change right now. Might wait a little longer because I'm not totally unhappy with Blogger, yet. ;)
Congrats on getting some things crossed off your list!
