Book Blogger Love-a-Thon: Mini Challenge #5
The Book Blogger Love-a-Thon is an event where we can share our love for our fellow book bloggers! The event is hosted by Alexa at Alexa Loves Books and Katelyn at Kate’s Tales of Books and Bands.
In this last mini challenge, we’re sharing our favorite blogging moments so far. So here are mine!
Austin Teen Book Festival
I went to this event in September of last year and it was so much fun! I met so many awesome fellow bloggers and some fantastic authors, like Tamara Ireland Stone, Jessica Khoury, Marissa Meyer, Ally Carter and Eliot Schrefer. Here’s my post from right after the event if you want to read more about it and see some pictures!
Tour de Nerdfighting
I went to the Tour de Nerdfighting (aka John Green’s book tour for The Fault in Our Stars) really soon after I started blogging. And it was right before my birthday, and it ended up being my second best birthday ever (the best one being my 27th birthday when my husband proposed)! John and Hank Green were awesome and it was such a fun event! Here’s my post after the event if you want to read more and see some pictures!
Becoming Friends With So Many Awesome Bloggers
The book blogging community is really my favorite part of being a blogger! I’ve found so many awesome blogs to follow, and I’ve made some great friends! A few of my blogger friends are Courtney at Abducted by Books, Kate at Midnight Book Girl (I met Courtney and Kate before I started this blog), Jessie at The Daily Bookmark, Kim at On The Wings of Books, Steph at The Fake Steph Dot Com, Lauren at Hughes Reviews, Andrea at Cozy Up With a Good Read, Briana and Krysta at Pages Unbound, and Jen Ryland at YA Romantics. They all have fantastic blogs so you should check them out!
Authors Retweeting My Tweets About Their Books
This is definitely one of the coolest perks about being a book blogger–authors retweeting your tweets about their books! I’ve had retweets from Marissa Meyer, Scott Westerfeld, Tamara Ireland Stone, Myra McEntire, and so many more! I am always so giddy when I see that an author has retweeted one of my tweets!
So what are your favorite blogging moments so far? I hope to go to BEA this year (fingers crossed!), so that will probably make my list in the future!

February 24, 2013 at 1:35 amSo many great moments!! It's crazy how easy it is to connect with authors on Twitter. Victoria Schwab retweeted my post about the Archived. Anna Collomore tweeted us about our review of the The Ruining. I know my co-blogger has been tweeted by Sarah Rees Brennan, it's amazing.

February 24, 2013 at 2:04 amGetting retweeted is so great. I still (and think I always will) get giddy when they ask me to help further promote their books.

February 25, 2013 at 6:09 pmI giggle every time an author I love retweets me. The twitter app means this usually happens in public.
