Book Blogger Love-a-Thon: Mini Challenge #1
The Book Blogger Love-a-Thon is an event where we can share our love for our fellow book bloggers! The event is hosted by Alexa at Alexa Loves Books and Katelyn at Kate’s Tales of Books and Bands.
This first Mini Challenge for the Book Blogger Love-a-Thon is all about sharing love for our favorite blogs! And I get to give away some awards! Yay! But sorry, I don’t have any trophies for you. :(
So here are my picks for the blogs with the best reviews, best book discussion posts, best blog layout and best features! And by the way, there was no way I could whittle this down to just one blog per category! And everyone is listed alphabetically by their name.
Best Reviews
Andrea at Cozy Up With A Good Read Andrea just always has really great reviews, and a lot of the time she introduces me to some really intriguing adult books, which is a nice change sometimes!
Briana and Krysta at Pages Unbound These girls always have the most professionally-written reviews I’ve ever read. Seriously, they should write reviews for major publications!
Jessie at The Daily Bookmark Jessie is another one who just has beautifully written reviews, but she always throws some humor in there as well!
Kate at Midnight Book Girl Kate cracks me up every time I read one of her reviews. I can always tell from her humor if I’m going to love or hate a book she has reviewed.
Best Book Discussion Posts
Kim at On the Wings of Books Kim has a great feature called Random Thoughts on Books, where she simply talks about random book stuff. It’s always a great discussion!
Lauren at Hughes Reviews Lauren has a feature called Behind the Story, where she discusses all the things that go into writing a book. It’s cool to see her process, along with her thoughts on all kinds of writing and bookish things!
Best Blog Layout
Anna at Anna Reads I really love Anna’s simple layout!
Ginger at GReads! Ginger also has a really simple layout, and I’m seriously considering using the site that designed hers, Designer Blogs, to redo my design.
Lisa at A Life Bound By Books I just really like the tree with all the book-birds coming down, and that’s a great header font!
Best Features
Courtney at Abducted by Books Right now, Courtney’s hosting the Levithan Loveathon, where she and other bloggers read and review books by David Levithan. It’s a really fun event!
Jen Ryland at YA Romantics Jen loves to give away the books she’s read, and she does that with her Freebie Fridays posts. She’s also got the YA Academy Awards going on right now!
Steph at The Fake Steph Dot Com Steph has a fantastic feature called Looks From Books, where she creates fashions inspired by books.

Kate Midnight Book Girl
February 24, 2013 at 6:26 pmI'm sending that love right back at you! Your reviews are always so good at telling me what the book is really about (unlike my random observations, which I do only because I don't have the ability to write the kinds of reviews you do, so know that I am envious) and I always love the quotes you pick, even from books that I normally wouldn't have noticed before. I am so grateful for our very cool, very bookish friendship!
Andrea @ Cozy Up

I want to share the love by letting you know that you are awesome!
