Waiting on Wednesday (16): Requiem by Lauren Oliver
Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.
by HarperTeen
Now an active member of the resistance, Lena has been transformed. The nascent rebellion that was under way in Pandemonium has ignited into an all-out revolution in Requiem, and Lena is at the center of the fight.
After rescuing Julian from a death sentence, Lena and her friends fled to the Wilds. But the Wilds are no longer a safe haven—pockets of rebellion have opened throughout the country, and the government cannot deny the existence of Invalids. Regulators now infiltrate the borderlands to stamp out the rebels, and as Lena navigates the increasingly dangerous terrain, her best friend, Hana, lives a safe, loveless life in Portland as the fiancée of the young mayor. Requiem is told from both Lena’s and Hana’s points of view. The two girls live side by side in a world that divides them until, at last, their stories converge.
Woohoo! Today’s my birthday! I hope to get lots of reading done today, and then I’ll be going out to dinner with family and then out with my husband tonight. It should be a fun day!
Anyway, I was a little late in reading this series, but I really love it! I still need to read Annabel (Delirium #0.5) and Hana (Delirium #1.5) and of course Raven (Delirium #2.5) when it comes out. But I really can’t wait for Requiem!
*Edit* I just found out that Delirium might be a TV show! I’m very excited about it!!
What book are you waiting on? Let me know, or leave a link to your WoW post in the comments, and I’ll stop by your blog!

Secondly, YES. Requiem. Must. Have. NOW. It's crazy that these series are coming to an end this year but I'm excited to see how this one turns out, especially after the end of Pandemonium. Awesome pick!
