Happy NaNoWriMo & -Surprise- I’m Still Behind!
So a few weeks ago I wrote this Apology post, where I apologized to all my blogger friends for not commenting on their posts, and to all those who had commented on my blog in September. I said that I’d be catching up soon, and that I’d be responding to all October comments.
Then, a week later, I wrote this NaNoWriMo post, explaining this crazy thing I do every November. What I failed to mention is that these two posts are pretty related.
This year, I’m the ML (Municipal Liaison) of my area, which means that I’m the person in charge of organizing meetups, moderating the regional forum and regional chat room, planning kickoff and end-of-event parties, and generally just getting the word out about NaNo in my area.
Now, I’m normally very good at this kind of a thing, seeing as I like to plan and organize and stuff, and I’ve been doing my ML job pretty well so far, I’d say. But what this means is that A) I got so behind in September that I was struggling to catch up in October, B) I was struggling to catch up in October while trying to be the best ML possible, C) I was struggling to catch up while trying to be the best ML possible PLUS I was planning for my own NaNo novel, D) November is going to be even crazier, because I’ll be 1) Doing ML duties like going to meetups and monitoring the regional forum and chat room, 2) I’ll be writing my own 50,000-word novel, 3) I’ll be trying to keep up with my reading, 4) I’ll be trying to keep up with writing my blog, 5) I’ll be trying to keep up with all my blogger friends’ blogs, and 6) I’ll be trying to keep up with responding to comments that are left on my blog.
I HATE being this behind. I HATE IT with a passion. But these past couple of months have been so stressful, and November is always super busy for me because of NaNo, but with my ML duties it’s even more busy.
So, what I’m saying is that, NO, I’m not going away. I’m here to stay because I love blogging too much. But my reading will probably go down. My blog may not be as consistent as it has been (I’ve had a post up at least every-other-day since the middle of March, with the exception of this week–I missed a post on Monday). I like my every-other-day format, but it might have to be cut back this month. Also, I know that I’ve been really behind on blogs (especially Kayla’s, Jen’s, and Kim’s. Sorry girls!), but I’m going to try to at least comment once a week on all my favorite blogs.
But I think the responding comment-for-comment is going to have to be put on hold again. I hate it, because I love each and every comment I receive, and I want to visit all your blogs all the time and leave comments back, but it’s just not possible right now. I’m going to try to take December and January to get caught up on that stuff–it’ll kind of be like two months of Bloggiesta for me.
So anyway, I apologize again to those of you whose blogs I haven’t visited lately–I still love you! And to those of you who are participating in NaNoWriMo, good luck and may you feel less stressed than I do.

November 2, 2012 at 11:59 amI was going to be doing NaNo….and I still plan too, but I don't always have the time to sit and write every day. I'm not sure how well this is going to go!

November 2, 2012 at 12:03 pmAnd let's not forget you have a hubby and a munckin (or I guess you could forget them if you wanted. ; ))! How you manage it all makes my head spin. : )
Don't stress about the commenting. It's all going to be okay. Focus on being a rockstar ML and writing a kickass novel. We aren't going to /disown/ you if you aren't around as much… cause we get it. : )
At any rate, I hope November is a smooth and awesome month for you! : )
(PS. I'm not NaNo-ing after all. Three football games, three Thanksgivings, a blog, a boyfriend, the holidays and a trainer at the gym – NO TIME. Boo.)

November 2, 2012 at 2:58 pmI was commenting on as many blogs as I could for a while and always commenting back, because I love blogging and I love bloggers. But I've been so busy since school started that I've struggled with this. I can't wait to get back on there, but we shall see. Do what you need and good luck!!!!!!!!!

November 2, 2012 at 3:05 pmI wish you luck with all this! I don't know how you're not more stressed out. The comment for comment thing is so hard, but keep up the great work on your blog!

November 2, 2012 at 4:53 pmDo not let this stress you out, blogging is supposed to be fun! (I would be the pot calling the kettle black here lol) Focus on your NaNo and your ML duties and your family and do blogging when you have time. We all get busy, if it wasn't for work I wouldn't have been commenting at all this month because of everything going on.
We still love you anyway, and we're not going anywhere!

November 3, 2012 at 3:21 amI think we all get behind sometimes! And if you need to skip my blog for the month of November, I won't take it personally. I usually just assume that when I don't get comments from my blogger friends it's because I've stunned them silent with my wit, so really it's kind of good for my ego to NOT get comments.
Okay, I lie, but it's still good- I know there have been times I've neglected your blog- but I do read it, I just don't always have time to comment.
So good luck with NaNo, know that I feel your pain!
