The Time Will Come (10)
The Time Will Come is a weekly meme hosted by Jodie at Books for Company, where we can highlight the books on our shelves that we’ve been meaning to get to for some time, but have been put on the back burner for one reason or another.
The book that I chose for this week is:
Shiver (The Wolves of Mercy Falls #1)
Maggie Stiefvater
Published 2009 by Scholastic Inc.
Grace and Sam share a kinship so close they could be lovers or siblings. But they also share a problem. When the temperature slips towards freezing, Sam reverts to his wolf identity and must retreat into the woods to protect his pack. He worries that eventually his human side will fade away and he will be left howling alone at the lonely moon. A stirring supernatural teen romance. (Book cover and synopsis from Goodreads)
I’ve had Shiver for a while now, and my friend Courtney from Abducted by Books and I had planned on reading it together, but we kept putting it off and putting it off, and she finally went ahead and read it. I’m going to read it one of these days, dang it!
What books have been pushed back for you? Let me know, or leave a link to your post if you’re participating in this meme and I’ll be sure to stop by your blog!

September 13, 2012 at 9:51 amOh, you must! Sam and Grace are one of my favorite YA paranormal couples in the history of forever. I read this book in one day… AT WORK. It's probably the very reason my boss doesn't want me reading anymore. ; ) I haven't read the other two books of the series but I so want to.
M. Stiefvater can do anything as far as I understand.

September 13, 2012 at 8:31 pmI've heard that she is an amazing writer, but I'm not so sure about werewolves, but I'll probably read The Scorpio Races or The Raven Boys before this series.

September 16, 2012 at 1:17 pmI haven't reviewed this one yet so depending on when you read it we can still write a joint review on it! I really want you to read it to see if you had any of the same reactions that I did. I haven't finished the last book yet but I only have a couple of hours yet so I'm going to try to finish it later tonight.

September 16, 2012 at 2:27 pmShiver was my favorite in the series because she does this amazing suspense technique with temperature. Book 2 was just okay. But the end of Book 3 is fantastic.
Maggie is a very descriptive writer and I have to be in a certain mood for her books because they tend to move slowly because of the heavy description. But I love all her books and definitely think you should read them :)
Maggie is great in person too, and I adore her blog!
