Sundays in Bed With… (13)

Sundays in Bed With… is a new meme/feature started by my friend Kate at Midnight Book Girl, where we can highlight the book that we’re spending the day in bed reading (or the one we wish we could be reading all day in bed!).

I’m spending this Sunday in Bed With…

The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman

1.  Yes, I just got Instagram and I’m loving it.  I’m behind in the times, so sue me you hipsters!  ;)

2.  My cat, Siri, is looking at me with that, “Why are you not petting me????” look.  The cat is needy.

3.  I’m reading The Golden Compass as part of my His Dark Materials Readalong with Jessie from The Daily Bookmark.  It’s going on now and there’s a giveaway!  Check it out!

4.  On a much more somber note, I’ve been reading The Golden Compass for a week now, but there was a good reason as to why I didn’t get much reading done in the past week.  If you read my last Stacking the Shelves post, you know that I was quite excited because I had recently found out I was pregnant.  Unfortunately this past week I had a miscarriage.  My husband and I are very sad, but we do know it wasn’t our fault, there was nothing we could do or did wrong, and we know that we will be able to try again in the future.  We’re still in the grieving process and therefore my reading and commenting is even more behind than it already was.  But I will keep posting on my blog every other day–having this blog really helps to have something positive to work on, since I don’t have a job other than being a stay-at-home mom to my 3-year-old son.  But I do apologize if my commenting is severely lacking.

What are you spending this Sunday in bed with?  Let me know in the comments, or leave a link to your post if you’re participating in this meme and I’ll stop by your blog!

Again, I'm sorry for your loss, but I'm so glad that you and Jeremy have each other, Jonathan and the fur babies!

I love that you got Siri in the picture! I don't know what it is about cats and books, but they do seem to go together.

I wish I could curl up with a book this morning, but I had to take Aaron to the airport this morning (he'll actually be in Dallas all this next week for business) and now I have to go get ready for work. Hopefully I'll get to read a lot at work today!

I think Jeremy should fly you out to VA for October's readathon. ;)

I'm very sorry for your loss… but it's great to see you didn't lose your hope and also that you have someone to lean on :) I wish you luck for any future attempt!

Talking about happier things, I hope you're enjoying "The golden compass". His Dark Material is one of my favourite series :)

Again, I'm so sorry Andrea, I've been thinking about you all weekend.

Your cat definitely doesn't look to pleased with you ;)

I do not have instagram, so don't feel bad about just joining the bandwagon!

I'm so sorry for your loss. I felt truly horrible for my cousin when it happened to her. But months later she found out she was pregnant and the baby is out now all happy and healthy. Keep up your hope (:

What version do you have of The Golden Compass? Is it an older read… or newer?

Don't I need a certain phone with instagram? I don't really know how that works -__-

Andrea, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss!!!! I know in the past, my blog has helped me to find structure in my life when I was at a place where it was easy to get lost. You and your family will be in my thoughts!!!

Let me know how you like instagram! I see it all the time, but I haven't used it…
