Stacking the Shelves (10)
Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme, hosted by Tynga at Tynga’s Reviews, where bloggers can share the books and bookish items that we’ve bought, borrowed, or received each week.
This StS is for the past two weeks.
From the Library
The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot – This is the September selection for my book club. I’ve heard it’s really good and I’ll be starting it soon since we meet in a week!

For Review
You guys, I finally got accepted for a couple of titles from NetGalley! Granted, I haven’t had a NG account for that long and I’ve only requested a couple titles before these, so it’s not like it has been FOREVER that I’ve been requesting. Nevertheless, I was quite excited when I got the emails letting me know I was accepted for these two books:
Midnight City by J. Barton Mitchell
Blind Spot by Laura Ellen
I am so excited to read both of these, so a big thanks to NetGalley, St. Martin’s Press and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt!

What did you guys get this week? Let me know, or leave a link to your StS post (or IMM or any other alternative) in the comments and I’ll stop by your blog!

Also, be sure to check out my His Dark Materials Readalong + Giveaway with Jessie from The Daily Bookmark, going on now! We’d love to have you join us–it’s not too late!

September 15, 2012 at 6:29 amNice haul! Midnight City looks really interesting! I don't read that many alien books (actually I don't think I ever read a book about aliens ;)).
Happy reading!

September 15, 2012 at 2:43 pmOoh, I really wanted to request Midnight City but the release date was a little close considered how backed up I am. I hope it's good!

September 15, 2012 at 4:09 pmMidnight City looks interesting. I'm so backed up that it's not wise for me to request any more titles. Great haul overall though.

September 21, 2012 at 5:50 pmI MEAN>>> SO GOOD>>> NOT FUNNY…. I'm multi-tasking and telling someone a story as I'm typing this and the story was funny… My brain is dying. I'm trying to catch up on a weeks worth of blogs and it is obviously not working.
