Stacking the Shelves (6)
Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme, hosted by Tynga at Tynga’s Reviews, where bloggers can share the books and bookish items that we’ve bought, borrowed, or received each week.
This StS is for the past two weeks.
From the Library
Right now I’m doing this kind of self-imposed YA contemporary binge, and I’ve heard that Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta is a beautiful YA contemp, so I had to get it when I saw it at the library the other day.
Purchased
I couldn’t pass up these Kindle freebies:
The Vincent Boys by Abbi Glines
Clockwise by Elle Strauss
How to Date an Alien by Magan Vernon (I actually like my cover–the one pictured–better than the one on Goodreads)

July 21, 2012 at 8:40 pmAre you talking about the green block or just the white background for the StS logo? If you're talking about the white background for the StS logo–that is really easy. Just simply go to your StS logo on your computer if you saved it to your computer, or go to Tynga's Reviews webpage and find the StS logo. Once you've found the logo, save it as a jpg file instead of a png file, and the white background will appear.
If you mean the green colored box, it's something that goes with my blog design. When I am writing a post, I highlight what I want to be in that green box, and then I click on the button with the quotation marks, which means a quote box. My blog design is set up that my quote box will be green. Your design might make it a grayish color, or something else.
I hope that all helps, and thanks so much for stopping by! I'm off to check out your StS!

July 21, 2012 at 8:43 pmI also forgot to say something else for if you mean the green quote box. To get the StS logo to appear kind of in the green box like that, I simply add the picture when I'm in the editing screen, and then I kind of move it up into the quote box area that I just made. Sometimes it gets a bit wonky and makes the logo go completely inside the quote box, and it's hard to get it right all the time, so I make templates for all my posts so that they're always the same format. I'm sure other people might know a better way to do this, but my husband knows a lot more about web design than I do, so he helped me a lot. But some things I just kind of taught myself to do.
I really hope this helped and let me know if you have any other questions!

July 22, 2012 at 6:28 pmGreat set! I love Jellicoe Road so much. Expect it to be very confusing at first – probably the first half or so of the book. It took me two tries to read it but it ended up being so good that I reread it as soon as I finished it.
