Sundays in Bed With… (5)
Sundays in Bed With… is a new meme/feature started by my friend Kate at Midnight Book Girl, where we can highlight the book that we’re spending the day in bed reading (or the one we wish we could be reading all day in bed!).
I’m spending this Sunday in Bed With…
Hourglass by Myra McEntire
Well, I’m not really going to be able to read much today, but if I could, I’d be curled up with Hourglass. I’m re-reading it before digging into Timepiece.
What are you spending this Sunday in bed with? Let me know in the comments, or leave a link to your post if you’re participating in this meme and I’ll stop by your blog!

May 20, 2012 at 4:30 pmThis is still one of my all time favorite covers! Although Timepiece has a cool cover too. I remember seeing the cover and thinking the book was about ghosts! I can't remember why, although maybe I thought her hair was being blown forward because a ghost was screaming at her? ;)

May 21, 2012 at 8:24 pmI love this cover too! It and the cover for Timepiece are probably my favorite covers. And as Kim said below, I think her hair is blowing forward because the "wall" on the right side is actually the floor. If you look at it sideways, it's like she's walking on the wall, going down to the floor. Such an awesome cover!

May 20, 2012 at 6:37 pmI second Kate on the awesomeness of this cover. Especially since I found out (from you I think? maybe?) that it's the floor on the right. So cool.
I just started reading it the other day and so far so good (and I love the name Emerson).
I've been a really bad commenter this week but I did read your Divergent review and just wanted to let you know that yes, that song was stuck in my head forever!
Also, I tried sending you an email about Insurgent (keeping the blog spoiler free) but for some reason it didn't go through so expect one soon. Not today or anything cause my to do list is forever long, but sometime this week.

May 21, 2012 at 8:27 pmYeah, I'm pretty sure that was me that told you about the floor being on the right. Such an awesome cover! I'm really enjoying my re-read and can't wait to get to Timepiece! I'm looking forward to your Hourglass review!
And no worries about the commenting – I've been so behind on commenting as well! And sorry about getting that song stuck in your head! ;)
We should totally talk about Insurgent! My review should be up tomorrow (I have to write it tonight since I got so behind!), but we can totally talk about it soon!

May 20, 2012 at 11:21 pmI actually bought this book recently and I have to agree on this cover and the next books cover as being amazing. I hope you are enjoying the book.

May 21, 2012 at 9:29 pmHourglass is really good, so I totally agree that you should read it! And the second book, Timepiece, comes out in June, but it was a "Read Now" title on NetGalley so I've got it on my Kindle.
And I totally understand about holding off on reading reviews – I do that all the time so that I don't accidentally plagiarize someone! I'll be interested to see your review of Divergent!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

May 23, 2012 at 2:43 pmThis looks really good! I hate that some books are so far apart that you have to read the first one before reading the second one to refesh your mind :) But if it was a good one than I guess that's not too bad!

May 24, 2012 at 3:22 amI know – I've been re-reading so many books this year, and I sort of wish I hadn't, because I feel like I could be using that time reading something else. But since my blog is so new I figured I'd re-read some books so that I could write reviews for them. Plus I'm participating in a re-read challenge, so I've got lots of reasons to re-read!
But yeah, Hourglass is really good and I just finished it and just started Timepiece. My reviews for both should be up soon!
