Dewey’s 24-Hour Read-a-Thon: Hours 13-16 & Mini-Challenge

I decided to incorporate the Hour 16 mini-challenge into this update post. This challenge is hosted over at The Bluestocking Society, and it’s all about rereads.

This challenge is perfect because I just started rereading Sloppy Firsts by Megan McCafferty.  I read this a couple of years ago, and I didn’t love it.  But so many of the bloggers I follow absolutely LOVE this series, so I thought I’d give it another shot.  I think I may not have loved it because I hadn’t yet become addicted to YA books at the time.  So far I’m enjoying my reread!
On to my update…

Finished Uglies:  Shay’s Story by Scott Westerfeld

I should probably read Sloppy Firsts, but I admit, the title is a bit off putting. Hope all is going well with your Readathon! I'm having a blast, but not a lot of actual reading has gotten done.

    I'm here to cheer
    You're here to read
    But have no fear
    You're a bookish breed!

I know – horrible title! That definitely colored my judgement the first time around. But I think I'm enjoying the book a lot more this time!

      Thanks for the cheer! ;)

I'm not impressed by the title, either…But you've done great on the readathon so far! Thanks for reminding me about the Scott Westerfield books – I've been meaning to read Uglies :)
