Memes

In My Mailbox (1)

In My Mailbox is a meme hosted by The Story Siren where bloggers can share the books they’ve received/bought/borrowed each week.

This IMM is for the past couple of weeks:

From the Library
I picked up my book club’s February selection:
Shut Out by Kody Keplinger

Birthday Presents
From my parents I received a Barnes & Noble gift card, and with it bought:
Cinder by Marissa Meyer
Tempest by Julie Cross
(Thanks, Mom and Dad!)

My big birthday present was going to the Tour de Nerdfighting in Austin, but my husband also bought me some DVDs.  I know they’re not bookish, but I just had to add them:
Veronica Mars Season 3 (I had been wanting this for so long – this show is awesome and I’m so excited to have all 3 seasons now!)
(Thanks, J!)

I’m looking forward to reading those books!  I haven’t read The DUFF by Kody Keplinger, but my friends have raved about it, so much so that one decided to make Shut Out her book club pick for this month.  And I can NOT wait to read Cinder and Tempest!  I’ll be reading those really soon!

So what bookish (or not so bookish) things did you get this week?  Let me know if you’re participating in this meme and I’ll stop by your blog!

Cinder and Tempest both look like good books. :) I don't think I've heard anything bad about Cinder, actually. And I enjoyed the DUFF by Kody Keplinger, so hopefully Shut Out is just as good! Happy reading!

I really liked Tempest. But I ADORED Cinder. Seriously. Ah, I want to read it all over again! And while I loved The DUFF, Shut Out wasn't the one for me. Sure, it was nice, but I enjoyed The DUFF much more.

PS: Your blog design is so cute!
Have a great reading week, new follower :D

Cinder AND Tempest, SO jealous!! Have you seen the new commerical that Matthew Broderick sort of redoes his role in Bueller with?? It's out there if you google it! It's one of the Super Bowl commercials today Here's ours http://marmaladelibby.blogspot.com/2012/02/in-my-mailbox-4.html
