Sundays in Bed With…The Face on the Milk Carton
Sundays in Bed With… is a meme/feature started by my friend Kate at Midnight Book Girl, where we can highlight the book that we’re spending the day in bed reading (or the one we wish we could be reading all day in bed!).
I’m hoping to spend the day in bed with…
The Face on the Milk Carton by Caroline B. Cooney
I’m reading a lot of interesting books for my book club! For February, our theme is YA Banned Books. We usually pick two or three books to choose from, and people can read one or two or all three books for that month. Since I’m the organizer, I usually try to read all of the selections each month so that no one is left as the only person to read one of the books. So for February our book selections are The Face on the Milk Carton, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and The Miseducation of Cameron Post. I’m excited for those latter two books, because I’ve never read them but I’ve wanted to!
I read The Face on the Milk Carton as a preteen and LOVED it. I’m not too far into my reread but unfortunately, it seems like this book just isn’t holding up. I’m not hating it or anything, but it just doesn’t seem as great as I thought it was back when I was 12 or 13. But hopefully I’ll still enjoy it after this reread.
What are you spending this Sunday in bed with? Let me know in the comments, or leave a link to your post if you’re participating in this meme and I’ll try to stop by your blog!
