Waiting on Wednesday (56): Heart in a Box by Kelly Thompson & Meredith McClaren

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.

My pick this week:

Heart in a Box (Graphic Novel)
Written by Kelly Thompson, Illustrated by Meredith McClaren
Release Date: September 29, 2015
Published by Dark Horse Originals

When the Man with No Name breaks Emma’s heart, she wants to die. But you never die from these things; you just want to. In a moment of weakness, she wishes her broken heart away and a mysterious stranger–who may or may not be totally evil–obliges. But emptiness is even worse than grief, and Emma sets out to collect the seven pieces of her heart spread across the country, a journey that forces her to face her own history and the cost of recapturing it, and leads inevitably to a confrontation with the Man with No Name himself! (Cover and synopsis from Goodreads.)

It’s Graphic Novel Month here at The Overstuffed Bookcase, so with this Waiting on Wednesday, I’m highlighting a graphic novel that I’m really excited to read. It comes out pretty soon, so the wait isn’t too long! I just love that cover and the synopsis sounds really cool, too.

What book are you waiting on?  Let me know, or leave a link to your WoW post in the comments, and I’ll try to stop by your blog!
