Waiting on Wednesday (6): Gravity by Melissa West

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.

My pick this week:

Melissa West
Release Date:  October 16, 2012

by Entangled Publishing

In the future, only one rule will matter: Don’t. Ever. Peek.

Seventeen-year-old Ari Alexander just broke that rule and saw the last person she expected hovering above her bed–arrogant Jackson Locke, the most popular boy in her school. She expects instant execution or some kind of freak alien punishment, but instead, Jackson issues a challenge: help him, or everyone on Earth will die.

Ari knows she should report him, but everything about Jackson makes her question what she’s been taught about his kind. And against her instincts, she’s falling for him. But Ari isn’t just any girl, and Jackson wants more than her attention. She’s a military legacy who’s been trained by her father and exposed to war strategies and societal information no one can know–especially an alien spy, like Jackson. Giving Jackson the information he needs will betray her father and her country, but keeping silent will start a war. (From Goodreads)

I just think this book sounds really creepy and awesome!  Hurry up, October!

Hmmm I like the sound of this book but I haven't totally made up my mind on it yet. I would borrow it from the library if I got the chance though (:

First off, yay! You're reading Graceling! Hope you're enjoying it!

Me and Gravity are having a bit of a tug-of-war these days. I can't decide if I'm really all that interested or not. I mean yeah, it sounds creepy and sort of interesting. But that has to be the most vague, information-less synopsis I've ever read! I have no idea what it's about and that's sort of perturbing, I suppose. I dunno. I guess I'm an equal opportunity reader and will have to give this one a chance regardless of my misgivings.

    Happy Wednesday!

I'm not very far into Graceling but I'm liking it so far!

It is a pretty vague synopsis, isn't it? Hmm, I guess I kind of made up my own mind about what the synopsis alludes to, and I'm super excited about it! Of course, my assumptions could be wrong, but I think it still sounds really cool!

Creepy alien stuff! That's all I need and I'm sold! Of course, the "hovering above her bed" stuff really sold me! ;)
